Learn about one of our latest initiatives: the Agenda Monitoring Project (AMP).
AMP monitors will alert League leadership of upcoming issues of interest to our League on agendas of local public meetings. If you are interested in local government, this project is a great window into what's happening, and an easy way to volunteer from home to help your community!
All those interested:
In-person AMP Monitor training will be offered Friday Aug 22 from 10am-12pm at the Encinitas Library Study Room A. Actual training time is approx. 1 hour, plus practice time if needed.
This hands-on session will demonstrate how to access and read online agendas and use a Google notification tool to alert League leadership.
Monitors are needed for the City Councils of Encinitas, Escondido, and Oceanside.
Volunteers are also needed as AMP Coordinators. Working with the League's advocacy team, AMP Coordinators will analyze agenda items and forward selected items to League leadership for action. AMP Coordinator training will occur in a future session
You may attend AMP training with no obligation to continue. Come and learn and then decide if it's something you'd like to do. If you have a laptop, please bring it.
