Candidates Matt Gunderson and Mike Levin running in the 49th Congressional District in this November's general election are scheduled to take part in a Candidate Forum jointly sponsored by the Chambers of Commerce of Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, Solana Beach, and Vista. Mira Costa College will facilitate the live video streaming event on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Moderated by the League of Women Voters of North County San Diego (LWVNCSD), these candidate forums are strictly non-partisan and structured with trained facilitators to provide a fair and impartial platform for the public to hear directly from candidates about their qualifications, priorities, and plans.

The public is invited to take this opportunity to learn where the candidates stand on issues of importance. Candidates will have equal time for opening and closing statements and to respond to questions submitted by residents of the 49th Congressional District until October 9, 2024 at 5 p.m.

MiraCosta College will facilitate the live-streaming event. Serving coastal North San Diego County for over 80 years, MiraCosta is a public California community college with over 12,000 students and two campuses.
