Mark your calendars for a special afternoon of live music and community spirit! On July 12, 2026, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Diego (UUFSD) launches its new Concerts with a Cause benefit concert series — and LWV of North County San Diego is proud to be one of the benefiting organizations.
The inaugural concert features Ruby and the Red Hots, headlined by Etoile Ruby Presnell — the "First Class Sultry Lady of the Blues" — and her world-class band. Known for performances at Humphreys, the Belly Up, and with the San Diego Symphony, Ruby delivers a high-energy blend of Blues, Soul, R&B, and Funk that's not to be missed.
Doors open at 3 pm for food and drink; the concert runs from 4–6 pm. The event is open to young listeners ages 10 and up, with childcare available for an additional fee (reserve in advance at 858-755-9225).
Proceeds from the series support five local nonprofits committed to community well-being — including LWVNCSD, whose mission is empowering our community to ensure informed and active participation in democracy.
And there's more to come: LWV North County San Diego will be the primary beneficiary of a future Concerts with a Cause concert featuring the Peter Sprague Quartet on December 12, 2026. Stay tuned for details!
