Thank you for your membership this past year in the League of Women Voters North County San Diego.   It is time to renew your membership for the upcoming year.

Membership renewals are now being handled through a new online system hosted by the national League of Women Voters.   Prior to your expiration date of ~~expiration_date~~ you will receive an email from membership@lwv.org asking you to log in to your account and renew your membership.  There are several important changes to the membership system that we want to share with you.

• Dues will no longer be fixed at various levels.  Membership will be a pay-what-you-can system with a minimum of $20 and a suggested rate of $75. 

   

• Every member will have an individual membership. There will no longer be Student memberships or Household memberships.  The suggested dues for students are $20.  Contact membershipdirector@lwvncsd.org regarding scholarships.

   

• Under the new system, there is a distinction between how dues and donations are handled.  The amount you choose to pay in dues will be split between the State League (47%), the National League (33%) and our local league, LWV North County San Diego (20%).  Only the portion of your dues that are allocated to LWV North County are tax-deductible.

   

• Please note that in order to maintain your membership, you must make your dues payment through the new system. You can access the new system here.  There is also a link to the new system on our website. If you are unable to pay online, please contact membership@lwvncsd.org.

   

• You will have the option to make a separate donation to LWV North County both in the new membership system and on our local website.  100% of your donation to LWV North County is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and stays in our community to support our important work.

Thank you for your past support of the League of Women Voters.  Your dues support the important work the League does at all levels – advocacy for important issues nationally, in California, and in San Diego.  Your direct donation to LWV North County supports our local programs including Voter Registration and Education, Pros and Cons presentations, Candidate Forums and our series of lectures and webinars on pressing issues that concern our members and our community.
